SData 2.0 License Terms

In order to use the Sage Data Specification, you must first agree to the following terms in this License (“Terms”). You may not use the Sage Data Specification if you do not accept the Terms.

Your use of the Sage Data Specification constitutes acceptance of the Terms. You understand and agree that Sage will treat your use of the Sage Data Specification as your acceptance of the Terms.

Sage Data Specification (“SData Spec”) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution- No Derivatives Licence 3.0 (“CC License”). To view a copy of this license, visit http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/. Any Custom Extensions You create using the unmodified SData Spec constitute “Collection” and do not constitute “Adaptation” as those terms are defined under the CCLicense. As such, any Custom Extensions created using the unmodified SData Spec will not violate this license. SData Custom Extensions are protocols that target specific interoperability aspects that are not covered in the core SData Spec.

As a further condition to this SData Spec License, You agree to share and distribute any Custom Extensions You create without any restrictions so long as the Custom Extensions are used within the context of the SData Spec.

You will attribute the SData Spec in the following format. This attribution must be clearly displayed in any implementation including any on-line help material and ABOUT areas:

SData Spec incorporates Microsoft’s Simple List Extensions Specification which is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License (version 2.5). To view a copy of this license, please visit http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/.

Sage promises not to assert any patent claims that directly result from the SData Spec against You to the extent that Your implementation conforms to the SData Spec, subject to the following: You will not file, maintain or voluntarily participate in any patent infringement lawsuit against Sage, Sage distributors or Sage customers.

This promise is not an assurance either (i) that any of Sage’s issued patent claims covers Your implementation or are enforceable or (ii) that Your implementation would not infringe patents or other intellectual property rights of any third party. No other rights except those expressly stated in this promise shall be deemed granted, waived or received by implication, exhaustion, estoppel, or otherwise.
